EVA Hand 1 fonts ---------------- Copyright (C) G. Landini 1998. All rights reserved. This package contains the EVA hand 1 font (release 1) of the characters found in the Voynich Manuscript, in the following formats: True Type (Windows), Type 1 (Unix), Information about Rene Zandbergen's EVA alphabet is available at: http://web.bham.ac.uk/G.Landini/evmt/eva.htm and about the Voynich manuscript: http://web.bham.ac.uk/G.Landini/evmt/evmt.htm The fonts in this package are free, but not public domain. You may distribute this package freely and unmodified. You may not charge for it. You may not distribute it as part of any commercial package. If you use the fonts in any work, please acknowledge the author. If you do not like or agree to these conditions, then make your own fonts! The font supports the capitalisation rule (connected to the next character if capitalised) originally introduced by Jacques Guy in his Frogguy alphabet. Note that if you use the fonts in Word, the single quotation (') and double quotation (") are changed automatically into "smart quotes" (which are in fact different characters). This will therefore prevent you to see the expected characters. This happens only if you type new text; if you load a text file, the ' and " are kept unchanged. Alternatively, the autocorrection can be switched off from the Tools, Autocorrect (Word 6) or from Tools, Options (Word 6 & 7) menu items. Credits: Julie Porter introduced the cool idea of using a 'splat' instead of '*' for unreadable glyphs in a previous Postscript Type 1 Voynich font set. Thanks to Rene Zandbergen, Jacques Guy & Jim Reeds for suggestions and testing the fonts. If you find any problems, send e-mail to: G.Landini@bham.ac.uk Contents of the evah1_1.zip archive. =================================== EVA FONTS: ========== EVA1.TTF True Type font (Windows) --- EVA1.NXT Type 1 font for Unix EVA1.AFM --- EVA1.TXT This file --- Gabriel Landini ---End of EVA1.txt---
