This deposit contains, in addition to this meta-data text-file, 4 image files:

1.) c1VMSOFC.tif
This crop image-file was made, using the MrSID Viewer 2.0 at 4:1 resolution, from the SID image of the Beinecke MS 408 (Voynich MS) front-cover.

2.) x1c1VMSOFC.bmp
This was made by loading 1.) into IrfanView 3.99 and doing some contrast and gamma adjustments.

3.) c1VMSOBC.tif
This crop image-file was made, using the MrSID Viewer 2.0 at 4:1 resolution, from the SID image of the Beinecke MS 408 (Voynich MS) back-cover.

4.) gNc1VMSOBC.bmp
This was made by loading 3.) into IrfanView 3.99, then negativing (inverting the colors), and then changing to grey-scale.

Added 4 images files suitable for blinking:

5.) Blink1c2VMSOFC.bmp = large portion crop of Beinecke MS 408 front binding-cover SID image, using MrSID 2.0 at 8:1 resolution, image converted to TIF, followed by adjustments with IrfanView 3.99 and saved as bmp:
Gamma = 0.23
Contrast = 109
Red = -73

6.) Blink2c2VMSOFC.bmp = 5.) with some outlines painted in.


7.) Blink1bVMSf76r.bmp = size-reduction to 62% of fnGzp77C91s3b75g76rVMSblink1.tif from J.VS Library deposit # 14-1-2007-10-22, using IrfanView 3.99  and saved as bmp.

8.) Blink2bVMSf76r.bmp = 7.) with some outlines painted in.


These images, of the VMS front binding-cover, and f76r, show hypothetical similar steganographic portraits of a man using an optical filter plate, and are first discussed in J.VS communication #183.

This is a low resolution image, intended as a guide for inspection of the SID image, of the VMS Binding front-cover with painted outlines suggesting the possible letters of mixed Greek, Phoenician, and Latin alphabets, across the top quarter of the Binding front-cover. This subject is first mentioned in the vms-list thread post "RE: VMs: Universal Ancient Language?", 04-21-2008 10:07:33 PM, by me, addressing Dennis Stallings.
