Travel to Kraków is by:

• air to Kraków-Balice (KRK / EPKK, airport website: http://www.krakowairport.pl/en) and Katowice-Pyrzowice (KTW / EPKT, airport website: http://www.katowice-airport.com/en/) airports, which handle international flights to much of Europe and connecting flights to hubs in Warsaw, Frankfurt, Munich, London and other cities for intercontinental flights
• rail to Kraków Główny station from a number of European cities
• road, by coach or car

Travel from Kraków airport is by special shuttle train, municipal bus or taxi. Travel from Katowice airport is by shuttle bus to the centre of Kraków. Details are provided on the airport websites. The Conference venue and hotels are about 10-15 minutes by public transport or taxi from Kraków train station - please see our map for more information. Public transport (buses, trams) within the city requires tickets which can be bought at kiosks and occasional vending machines at stops and on vehicles. The tickets must be canceled in a cancelling machine on boarding (watch the locals).

Local currency is the Polish złoty, PLN (see exchange rates). Most shops and some taxis accept major credit cards. There are ATMs (cash machines) at both airports which can be used to obtain local currency at VISA/Mastercard standard exchange rates. There are also currency exchange bureaus at the airport which have more expensive exchange rates and are not recommended - much better exchange rates can be found at exchange bureaus in the city.
